The Maps module can be used to plot the geographic location of cases or outbreaks using the Search Criteria in the side panel of the Case Maps tab.

If the Case Search is selected, the user can apply the Case Search Criteria to select cases to be displayed on the map.

If the Outbreak Search is selected the user can apply the Outbreak Search Criteria to view cases linked to an outbreak in the selected areas.

When the results are displayed on the map, the Layers tab in the side panel is used to display information (e.g. office/TA/DHB boundaries) other than the case locations.

The Legend and Results tabs are also available in the side panel.

The user will be able to click on a case on the map to display a summary then click on the case number to open the case report form for the case. Whether identifying information is hidden or not will depend on the user’s case access granted.
