To find an outbreak, the user can browse through the Outbreak List or use the Search button (magnifying glass). This button is automatically enabled (blue) in the OUTBREAKS module. In the Outbreak Search panel the user can search for outbreaks by field (e.g. Pathogen, Report type etc.) and then click the SEARCH button (located at the bottom left hand corner of the screen) to display cases.

The user can also select an outbreak by navigating through the Outbreak List of the OUTBREAKS module.

The PHS user can search for a specific outbreak. By default, the My Office Outbreaks search option is enabled (blue). This option will only search outbreaks within the user’s EpiSurv Office (located on the top the top banner next to the user’s name).

If a PHS has more than one Office (e.g. Dunedin and Invercargill), the My PHS Outbreaks option will search for all outbreaks within the user’s PHS. The All NZ Outbreaks option will search for outbreaks across every PHS.
